Demerara Enmore 1995 16YO
Description
Velier Enmore 1995 Full Proof Old Demerara, distilled in 1995 and bottled after 16 years of tropical aging from eight casks (#7104 to #7111) in February 2011.
The label of the bottle mentions the mark ELCR and that it is about the last distillation coming from the plantation Enmore whereas its definitive closing takes place in 1994. One can also read the mention "distillation single pot still" then that Enmore uses a wooden Coffey column.
Limited edition of 2415 bottles.
In 2001 Velier joined forces with Demerara Distillers Ltd and selected rums that have since become legendary. Thanks to his friendship with the late Yesu Persaud, Luca Gargano thus had the extreme privilege of choosing barrels directly from the DDL warehouses, which he offered cask-strength and fully aged in a tropical climate.
