Description
Last Ward 2007 is a Pure Single Rum from the Mount Gay distillery (Barbados), distilled three times on a pot still.
This rum is made from a blend of 13 casks that have undergone an angels' share of around 70%. As usual with Velier and Luca Gargano, all of the aging took place on site, in the tropics, for 16 long years.
Mount Gilboa is the former name of the distillery now known as Mount Gay, the oldest distillery according to the history books. It then belonged to the Ward family (since the beginning of the 20th century) before becoming the sole property of Rémy Cointreau in 2014 (the date on which production of Mount Gilboa rum will definitively stop).
