Description
HERR - for "High Ester Rum Reunion" - is a rum distilled in Pot Still from molasses, after a - very - long fermentation of 11 days (ester rate of 689 gr/hlpa). Aged in a single cask (single cask #515) of Cognac in February 2006, this rum aged for 12 years in the tropics (with an angel's share > 40%) before being bottled in March 2020 by Velier.
Limited edition of 262 bottles
This bottling is part of a trio of single casks released in 2020, known as Japoniani because of the labels designed by Luca Gargano on a flight from Japan to Italy. In addition to a Savanna HERR 2006, you can find a Karukera rum from 2009 and a Nine Leaves rum (Japan) from 2016.
