Description
Velier Uitvlugt 1997 Full Proof Old Demerara, distilled in 1997 and bottled after 17 years of tropical aging from five barrels in July 2014. The reference (mark) ULR (for Uitvlugt Light Rum) indicates that it was produced with the Savalle still, a 4-column still that can be produced according to the needs and desires of rums with different styles, more or less rich (let us mention Albion, Blairmont or Skeldon).
Limited edition of 1404 copies.
In 2001 Velier joined forces with Demerara Distillers Ltd and selected rums that have since become legendary. Thanks to his friendship with the late Yesu Persaud, Luca Gargano thus had the extreme privilege of choosing barrels directly from the DDL warehouses, which he offered cask-strength and fully aged in a tropical climate.
