Paul Giraud Fin du Siècle 1999 18YO (70th Velier)
Description
This Cognac from the 1999 harvest has always aged in the Paul Giraud cellars since its distillation during the winter of 1999/2000. The entire harvest always ages in oak barrels with the exception of two "special vintages" which are from this vintage: the first was destined for Japan and the second to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Velier house in Italy.
Distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2017, after 18 years of aging.
Limited edition of 1200 copies
Established in Bouteville since the 17th century, the Giraud family has perpetuated heritage and tradition from father to son. Maison Paul Giraud even remains among the last to maintain the tradition of manual harvests, bringing an almost unhealthy care to the vinification and distillation. Everything is made in Bouteville, on their estate, and their particularly humid cellars give a remarkable softness to their eaux-de-vie.
