New series launched by Luca Gargano in 2020/2021, FAQ Plastic brings together "pure" rums without any inputs, hence the mentions on the packaging:
No pesticides
No enzymes
No antifoam
No sweetening
"FAQ plastic" is actually a polite way of saying F*** to plastic and other chemicals (do you get it?).
This Mhoba rum is produced from the pure juice of the Nkomazi sugar cane, grown (without pesticides or fungicides) around the distillery, in South Africa. Distilled (after fermentation without artificial enzymes) in 2017 by Robert Greaves in his Pot Still still that he made himself, the rum was then aged for 4 years in French oak barrels that had previously contained red wine. Bottled without reduction, it has a congener rate of 590.9 gr/HLAP including 344.6 gr/HLAP of esters.
