Description

In the Habitation Velier family, I ask for the old DOK. This rum from the Jamaican Hampden distillery was distilled in 2017 and aged for 5 years in the tropics (34% angels' share) before being bottled cask strength in 2022.

What makes it special? It bears the reference (mark) DOK, which corresponds to the heaviest rum (aromatically) from the distillery: i.e. a rate of 3045 g/hlap of volatile substances (congeners) including 1223.8 g/hlap of esters.
