Gosling Choicest Barbados Rum bottled in the 1930s
Description
Choicest Barabdos Rum is a bottling produced by Gosling Brothers Limited, originally from Bermuda and known ever since for its flagship Goslings brand.
The bottle offered here, a true historical vestige in perfect state of conservation, relates more to the selection work of the company as it was still functioning in the 1930s/1940s, and before it became internationally acclaimed for its blend.
History tells us that the company, first known as Gosling & Son, was renamed Gosling Brothers in 1857.
This bottle of Choicest Barbados Rum was most likely released in the 1930s/1940s. As indicated on the label, it was imported into the United States by the Leeds Imports Corporation based in Philadelphia, which began its trading activities at the very beginning of the 1930s.
