Rum
VSGB Neisson 2016 Chai Adrien No. 5
Description
Released in collaboration between Velier and Neisson, this series of "Cuvées Velier" is a first: it brings together three rums from the same vintage (2016) aged in the same type of barrels (ex-Bourbon barrels) but stored in different places in the distillery's cellars. The concept here is to focus on the direct influence of humidity and temperature on rum.
It is also the very first time that Neisson releases its rum in a bottle other than its traditional Zepol Karé...
The three rums, aged for 4 years, offer the following characteristics:
Neisson 2016 Chai "Mainmain": average humidity of 77% and average temperature of 27.7°C. Bottled at cask strength at 54.1%.
Neisson 2016 Chai "Vevert": 82% humidity and an average temperature of 25.5°C, bottled at 56.8%.
Neisson 2016 Chai "Adrien": 76% humidity and an average temperature of 27.4°C, bottled at 55.8%.
