Modern Collector
Neisson 2003 Japan Import
Description
This is a limited-edition Neisson Single Cask rum, specially packaged to celebrate the 10th anniversary of KingRum—a Japanese rum-focused bar located in the Ikebukuro district of Tokyo. To mark the occasion, KingRum hosted an anniversary event on October 25, 2015. This commemorative edition is distinguished by a label featuring a sailing ship, accompanied by the inscription "KINGRUM 10th Anniversary."
It should be noted that there is an error regarding the vintage on the label: it should read 2002, not 2003. The rum was, in fact, distilled on June 15, 2002, and placed into casks for aging on November 24, 2003. It was bottled in April 2010, following a full six years of maturation.
There is also another version of this Neisson 2003, bottled for Japan Import System, which shares the same dates and alcohol content (46.9%). This makes for an interesting connection for collectors, though the common origin of the two editions remains to be confirmed. This limited-edition Neisson Single Cask rum was bottled exclusively for the Japanese market, specifically for the company Japan Import System.
