Bally 1939 (ronde)
Description
This Bally 1939 is one of the first vintages marketed by the Martinique distillery, offered here in an astonishing round bottle! The titration is also unusual since it displays 50 degrees (a sticker on the back of the bottle attested to this, but it is no longer present on our batch).

A living proof of Jacques Bally's avant-gardism concerning the aging of agricultural rums of the time, this bottle is a vestige of another era....
Fiefdom of Bally rums, Habitation Lajus was bought in 1918 by Jacques Bally who decided to renovate it and build a distillery on the remains of the small sugar refinery. Installing a steam engine and a Creole column that he adapted himself, he began to produce rum that he would vintage from 1924.
