Description

While Luca Gargano was still working for Saint James in the 1970s, he received a phone call from his agent who told him that the famous Italian restaurateur Peppino Cantarelli wanted to order six hundred bottles of Saint James rum from him.

Fifteen years later, Luca suggested that Mr Cantarelli release a special vintage in his tribute: the Bally Riserva Cantarelli was born.

The choice of this mutual selection falls on a 1970 vintage from Bally, the very first special bottling under the name of Velier. Even the label has an unexpected story to say the least: the very first scanner has just been released and Luca decides to personalize the visual by scanning a Madras jacket that he had just bought in Martinique as a gift to his daughter Maria Margaux, then aged 5 years.
