Description
Velier Caroni 12 years old, distilled in 2000 and entirely aged in Trinidad. Its label is based on that of a bottle from the 1940s.
Founded in 1918 in Trinidad and Tobago, Caroni is a state distillery which was running at full capacity until 1993 before closing definitively in 2002. Two years later, Luca Gargano discovered a dormant stock of a few thousand barrels, creating in no time an unprecedented craze.
Its bottlings are offered mostly cask strength and rums aged entirely in the tropics.
