Description

Composed of "light" and "heavy" rums, this version selected on April 12, 2019 in Cognac by 23 Caroni aficionados, is the result of the assembly of 22 barrels. It aged until 2008 in Trinidad and Tobago before continuing to mature in Guyana between 2008 and 2019.

Founded in 1918 in Trinidad and Tobago, Caroni is a state distillery which was running at full capacity until 1993 before closing definitively in 2002. Two years later, Luca Gargano discovered a dormant stock of a few thousand barrels, creating in no time an unprecedented craze.

Its bottlings are offered mostly cask strength and rums aged entirely in the tropics.
