Caroni 1994 Paradise 3 (damejeanne 1)
Description
On April 12, 2019, enthusiasts from all over the world gathered to select the best of the best of the last Caroni barrels belonging to Velier. Among the last 136 barrels, 23 particularly caught the attention of the tasters of the day (gathered in "Tasting Gangs").
Following this selection, each barrel was put into 4 54L demijohns and stored in the Caroni "Paradis" in Cognac, before being bottled little by little.
This Caroni distilled in 1994 will have aged for 25 years in the tropics in barrel #6132, (including in Guyana from 2009 to 2018) before being put into demijohn (the #1) from 2019 to 2023, the year of its bottling. The label represents a work of Che Lovelace, a painter from Trinidad.
