Description

For the 70th anniversary of his company Velier, Luca Gargano went to select this Fût 65 from the Karukera cellars in Guadeloupe.

The only remaining barrel from the very first aging, this 2006 vintage will have aged for more than 10 years before being bottled at its natural degree and not chill-filtered. Note the exceptional esterification of the rum in its French oak barrel (from 25 to more than 200 g/HAP) with a total non-alcohol content (TNA) of nearly 1000 g/HAP.

It is offered in an imposing crystal carafe, nestled in a solid oak box made for the occasion in the Cognac region, in a nod to the aging of rum in French oak barrels.
