Don Q Grand Anejo 500th Anniversary
Description
This commemorative carafe was marketed in the early 1990s by Don Q to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the discovery of Puerto Rico by Christopher Columbus.
It is a blend of rums aged 3 to 12 years.
The Don Q brand - named after the famous protagonist of Miguel de Cervantes, Don Quixote - was first introduced in 1934. Produced at the Serrallés distillery in Puerto Rico, it is the result of the assembly of light rums distilled in columns (in operation since 2007) and heavier rums produced from the original 1934 column (Vendome).
