Barbancourt 3 Stars 4YO (Baretto) bottled in the 1960s
Description
A 3-star Barbancourt rum, which corresponds in the range of the famous Haitian distillery to a 4-year-old rum.
The version presented here (in a 75cl bottle) dates from the 1960s/70s and was imported by the Italian company Baretto.
At the time, distillation was still done in the traditional way (double distillation via Pot Still), before everything changed in the early 1990s with the use of a more modern continuous column system (double column).
An emblematic rum from Haiti distributed all over the world for more than a century and a half, Barbancourt has been operating since 1862 and has remained faithful to its range: first its 3-star rum (aged 4 years) and its 5-star Special Reserve ( 8 years), then in the mid-1960s the Réserve du Domaine, aged 15 years and traditionally reserved for the family.
