Description

A white rum with a unique history, thanks to Jean-Claude Benoit (director of Saint-James and Grand monsieur of agricultural rum): this Coeur de Chauffe is in fact distilled via a copper pot still (and not in a column as required by the AOC Martinique).

After a double distillation, the heads and tails are removed and only the heart ("coeur" in French) of the distillation is kept, before being very slowly reduced to reach 60°. The result is a very aromatic white rum that can be drunk as a tasting rum, or used as a base for a memorable ti punch.
