Description
Nine Leaves "Almost Spring" is a Japanese rum made from Muscovado brown sugar (pure, unrefined cane sugar), which comes to us from the late Nine Leaves distillery founded in 2013 by Yoshiharu Takeuchi in the city of Otsu, near Tokyo.
Inspired by the techniques of making single malts, Yoshiharu distilled his rum twice, using two different pot stills. As for aging, this Almost Spring was aged in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks (from the Wente vineyard in California) for a year.
