Description
Here is an old bottle of Appleton Estate "Extra" rum marketed in the 1980s/90s: it is a blend (assembly) of rums distilled in copper stills and aged in oak barrels for up to 18 years. The name of the range will then change to Appleton "Extra 12" and later (since 2005) to "Rare Blend 12".
The composition of the blend also includes rums aged for less time than the version offered here. Bottled by Wray & Nephew Ltd.
