Description
Here is the first version of a 21 year old rum released by Appleton. Marketed in the 1990s ("blue box" edition), the range changed at the dawn of the 2000s with a more imposing and luxurious bottle.
The 21 is thus part of the classic old rums from Appleton, along with the V/X, 8 and 12 years old.
Limited edition mentioning 12,000 bottles produced annually.
The master blender at the time was Owen Tulloch, who much later taught the trade to a certain Joy Spence.
