Description

This Duquesne Genippa rum is a white rum, in other words an Extra-Fine White Cluster, produced, distilled and bottled in Sainte-Luce.

A vestige of another era, the bottle on sale here dates from the 1960/1970s.

Formerly distilled in Sainte-Luce and now produced at the La Mauny distillery in Rivière-Pilote, the history of Duquesne rum dates back to the 19th century. In 1953, the Marraud des Grottes family, already the owner of a distillery (but also of the Duquesne brand), bought the Trois Rivières estate and marketed Trois Rivières old rums under the Duquesne brand until 1972.

The brand was produced on site until 2004, when his column was transferred to La Mauny. Today the Duquesne brand is reserved for the local market and belongs to the BBS Group (Bellonie Bourdillon Successeurs), also owners of the La Mauny and Trois Rivières brands.
