Duquesne 10YO bottled in the 1980s
This 10-year-old Duquesne Rum was marketed in the 1980s. Distilled, aged and bottled by Rhumeries Duquesne in Fort-de-France in Martinique.
The history of Duquesne rum dates back to the 19th century. In 1953, the Marraud des Grottes family, already the owner of a distillery (but also of the Duquesne brand), bought the Trois Rivières estate and marketed Trois Rivières old rums under the Duquesne brand until 1972.
The brand was produced on site until 2004, when his column was transferred to La Mauny. Today the Duquesne brand is reserved for the local market and belongs to the BBS Group (Bellonie Bourdillon Successeurs), also owners of the La Mauny and Trois Rivières brands.
