Description
James Buchanan was born in Canada in 1849 and moved to Scotland to work for Charles Mackinlay & Co., which specialized in blends. In 1884, he started his own business and created the first Buchanan blend by assembling whiskeys from Dalwhinnie, Clynelish and Glendullan. The success is such that the blend is even offered at the bar of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
This bottle dates from the mid to late 1950s.
