Black Tot Last Consignment
Description
If the date of July 31, 1970 marked the day (the famous Black Tot Day) when the very last ration of rum was served to the sailors of the Royal Navy, this bottling takes us back to the original history of Navy rum.
We owe it to a London spirits specialist who found the very last batch of Black Tot Rum. Offered in an imposing wooden box accompanied by its tumbler (identical to that of the sailors), a replica of the ration card as well as a booklet written by Dave Broom, the rum is a blend from the British colonies: Barbados, Jamaica, Guyana and Trinidad.
Bottled at its natural strength, the rum had been stored, under customs control, in jars from December 1970, until the famous day of July 31, 2010.
