This Bally 1939 is one of the first vintages marketed by the Martinican distillery, offered in a 75cl bottle and grading 45°. Living proof of Jacques Bally's avant-gardism concerning the aging of agricole rhums of the time, this bottle is a vestige of another era... the cap, the collar, the absence of the capacity and of degree, so many details that do not lie: you are right in front of the first bottling of the 1939 vintage

Stronghold of Bally rums, Habitation Lajus was bought in 1917 by Jacques Bally who decided to renovate it and build a distillery on the remains of the small sugar refinery. Installing a steam engine and a Creole column that he designed himself, he began to produce rum which he vintaged in 1924.
